{"id":10844,"date":"2015-11-11T15:43:02","date_gmt":"2015-11-11T14:43:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/teaterunionen.se\/?page_id=10844"},"modified":"2016-11-10T15:58:20","modified_gmt":"2016-11-10T14:58:20","slug":"maribor-theatre-festival","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/scensverige.se\/en\/projects\/maribor-theatre-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Maribor Theatre Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5>Swedish theme at the Maribor Theatre Festival<\/h5>\n<p>The 51<sup>st<\/sup> edition of Maribor Theatre Festival, <em>Bor\u0161tnikovo sre\u010danje<\/em>, dedicated a special attention to Swedish drama and theatre.<\/p>\n<p>The Swedish theme included several events were we had the possibility to introduce and present Swedish performing arts to the Slovenian audience. Among the happenings, the festival presented two Swedish guest performances as well as translate four Swedish plays into Slovenian.<\/p>\n<p>Maribor Theatre Festival also hosted staged readings of the translated plays, as well as public discussions with playwrights, translators and professional guests from Sweden.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/scensverige.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Bors\u030ctnik-ring.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>Swedish guest performances<\/h5>\n<p>Two Swedish performances where chosen to perform at the Maribor Theatre Festival; moment:teater&#8217;s <em>Wuthering Highs<\/em> and Gunilla Heilborn\u2019s <em>This is not a love story<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h5>Seminars, meetings and workshops<\/h5>\n<p>We were asked to create a seminar program for the festival focusing on Swedish performing arts. The program included staged readings as well as discussions about the texts and the current situation of Swedish new drama.<\/p>\n<p>The Swedish panel guests included Edward Bromberg, Riksteatern, Michael Cocke, \u00d6rebro l\u00e4nsteater, the journalist Ylva Lagercrantz Spindler and our managing director Ulricha Johnson.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"short_text\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">Anthology with<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Swedish<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">plays<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">translated into<\/span>\u00a0Slovenian<\/span><\/h5>\n<p>During the festival, an anthology of four Swedish plays, translated into Slovenian, was launched.
