GENERAL PUBLIC<\/strong> is an immersive, participatory ballet performance. Inspired by Swan Lake\u2019s unique role during crises in the former Soviet Union, this show blends ballet’s timeless elegance with the liveliness of contemporary performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In GENERAL PUBLIC, you\u2019re not just a spectator\u2014you\u2019re a dancer in the ‘General Public’ company, preparing for an extraordinary staging of Swan Lake. Collaborate with fellow participants to make artistic choices that challenge conventions and provoke thought. Navigate politically provocative, populist, or even totalitarian themes, creating a performance that is as intellectually stimulating as it is artistically rewarding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a captivating rehearsal, you\u2019ll don your costume and mask, join a thrilling procession to the stage, and perform your own unique version of Swan Lake alongside a professional ballet prince. Their site-specific works occur in unique locations like abandoned offices and secluded villas. Featured at festivals such as Baltic Circle (FI), Santiago a Mil (CL), and Salzburger Festspiele (AT), Poste Restante prioritizes making the visitor the main character, ensuring clear and concrete participation.
