Lisen Rosell & Amanda Apetrea

Amanda Apetrea and Lisen Rosell present “Pride and Prejudice”. A very free interpretation of Jane Austen’s timeless work. Welcome to an embracing, romantic world of steaming tea, dangerous ink, and feverish cheeks. There will be opulent estates, class contempt, sweaty  bosoms in tight cotton, and misty wetlands. In Jane Austen’s universe, dirty laundry coexists with delicate porcelain and heavy tea bags.

In their performances Lisen Rosell and Amanda Apetrea explores body, sexuality, gender, audience contact and humor. Steeped in their common background in collective work they examine desire, stereotypes and female community through a bodily and choreographic approach. 

Pride and predjudice was created together with Chrisander Brun (light and set design) and Daniel Åkerström Steen (costume and makeup).
