Heavy as the heart / moment:teater

Heavy as the heart is a performative, personal and evocative black metal monologue that strives through the darkness towards the light and the rebirth we all long for at some point. Based on her own experiences, Josefin Ankarberg draws parallels all the way back to the first witch in literature, Kirke, and assumes the role of the goddess who sent Odysseus to the gates of the kingdom of death to lure the dead through blood sacrifice. Josefin starts from her youth, where she growlingly comes to terms with the men who affected her life. She reverses perspectives, where a genre of music often dominated by the male perspective now becomes hers. Josefin’s inherent anger and sorrow draw strength from what has created her darkness but also help her break free from it.
