Meet Nils Jonsson, the legendary fiddler from Jämtland whose tunes still resonate among folk musicians in Sweden. This performance, rich in music and dance, transports us to a bygone Jämtland, where parish Lapps, crofters, and landowners exist alongside angels and devils. At the edge of Döda fallet, a battle unfolds between heaven and hell—for the fiddler’s soul, for sin, redemption, and the right to music.
One of Estrad Norr’s most ambitious productions, this genre-blending dream play brings together actors, dancers, and musicians. After its world premiere in 2023 and a revival in 2024, it will take the stage for the final time in the summer of 2025.
