Happening in Stockholm this week:

Other Stockholm recommendations:

Wheels and cello with Le Patin Libre at Vitabergsparken 24-25 August
Four previous competitors in figure skating abandoned their chase for medals and championships. With a touch of humor about their sequined past careers, this show combines cello music with some athletic exuberance and the idea that opened artistic modernity to skaters: pure glide on wheels. Hosted by Kulturhuset Stadsteatern Parkteatern. Free admission

POP UP PUPPETS, International puppet festival at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern 22-25 August
hosted by Marionetteatern

UROISH, concert at Sergels Torg 30 August
Music characterised by the feminist revolution in Iran with stories about now, then and later. A colourful concert filled with pop, Persian lyrics and swinging electronic beats from the Middle East to the clubs of Berlin. Hosted by Kulturhuset Stadsteatern Parkteatern. Free admission

My Wild Flag, My Wild Flag is an international dance and performance festival in Stockholm 31 August-4 September
hosted by My Wild Flag in collaboration with Dansens Hus, MDT and Moderna Museet

Swedstage and Proud Performing Arts is funded by the City of Stockholm, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee and the Swedish Institute
